Hope for Youth Wayne County was formed in response to a tragic shooting that left five young people injured and a 14 year old young girl dead. We knew then, as we know now, that our community’s youth deserve better.

We are local leaders with more than 30 years of combined experience working with young people through schools, alternative programs, after-school activities, and mental health services. After listening to our youth, one message was clear: they want to be safe and enjoy being young.

We have been here, and we will continue to be here, committed to creating safe and supportive environments where young people can grow, learn, and thrive.
